Terms & Conditions
Last updated: May 19, 2026
The following terms and conditions govern all use of the Fantastic.jobs website, the Fantastic.jobs developer portal, and the Fantastic.jobs API (collectively, "Fantastic.jobs" or the "Service"). The Service is owned and operated by Fantastic.jobs, registered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The Service is offered subject to Your acceptance without modification of all of the terms and conditions contained herein and all other operating rules, policies (including, without limitation, Fantastic.jobs' Privacy Policy) and procedures that may be published from time to time on this Site by Fantastic.jobs.
By accepting these Terms, or by accessing or using the Service or Site, You represent and acknowledge that You have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, and that the information You provide in registering to the Service is accurate, complete, and is Yours or within Your right to use. If You are entering into these Terms on behalf of a company or another legal entity, You represent that You have the authority to bind such entity and its affiliates to these Terms, in which case the terms "You," "Your" or related capitalized terms herein shall refer to such entity and its affiliates. If You do not have such authority, or if You do not agree with these Terms, You must not accept these Terms and may not use the Service.
1. Description of Service
1.1 — The "Service" includes (a) the Site, (b) the Fantastic.jobs developer portal and Fantastic.jobs API, and (c) the other services provided to You through the Site based on the plan purchased, including all software, data, text, and other content made available through the Site or developed via the Fantastic.jobs API (collectively, "Content"). Any new features added to or augmenting the Service are also subject to these Terms.
1.2 — Service availability. Fantastic.jobs uses commercially reasonable efforts to keep the Service available, but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. No uptime service-level agreement (SLA) is offered unless separately agreed in writing. Periods of unavailability may include: (a) planned downtime (of which You will be notified in advance where reasonably possible), or (b) any unavailability caused by circumstances beyond Our reasonable control, such as, but not limited to, acts of God, acts of government, acts of terror or civil unrest, network or hosting-provider failures, or technical failures beyond Our control.
1.3 — Aggregator role. Fantastic.jobs functions as an aggregator and provider of third-party job posting data sourced from ATS platforms, job boards, and other upstream providers. We do not assert ownership of the underlying job data and do not make any copyright claims over it. Our role is to grant You access to the data as a facilitator, not as a proprietor. You are responsible for ensuring Your use of the data complies with any applicable terms imposed by the original source.
Fantastic.jobs does not control the accuracy, completeness, legality, timeliness, or continued availability of data made available by upstream providers. Upstream providers may at any time and without notice remove, alter, restrict, rate-limit, or block access to their data, in which case the affected data may become incomplete, stale, or unavailable through the Service. The Service is provided on a pass-through, "as-is" basis with respect to all upstream data, and Fantastic.jobs disclaims all responsibility for any consequences arising from upstream changes, removals, errors, or restrictions.
1.4 — AI-derived data. A subset of fields in the Service are produced by automated AI / LLM-based enrichment of source data, including (without limitation) all fields prefixed ai_* (e.g. ai_salary_min_value, ai_experience_level, ai_work_arrangement, ai_benefits, ai_key_skills), and certain locations_alt values for select ATS sources. These fields are generated by probabilistic models from the underlying job posting content and may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or misclassifications. Fantastic.jobs makes no warranty as to the accuracy or fitness for purpose of any AI-derived field. You are solely responsible for validating any AI-derived value before using it in decisions with material consequences (for example, compensation benchmarking, hiring, candidate-facing salary display, or other use cases sensitive to data correctness).
1.5 — Beta features. From time to time Fantastic.jobs may make features, endpoints, fields, or other functionality available on a beta, preview, alpha, or experimental basis (collectively, "Beta Features"), identified as such in the documentation or developer portal. Beta Features are provided strictly as-is for evaluation purposes and may be modified, restricted, deprecated, or removed at any time without notice. No service-level commitments, accuracy warranties, or stability guarantees of any kind apply to Beta Features, and Fantastic.jobs disclaims all liability arising from Your use of them. Beta Features should not be relied upon for production use cases without independent validation.
2. Data Privacy and Security
2.1 — In providing You the Service We shall maintain appropriate administrative, physical and technical safeguards to protect the security, confidentiality and integrity of Your data and the personal data of Your end-users. These safeguards include encryption of Your data in transmission (using TLS or similar technologies), except for certain external third party integrations that do not support encryption, which You may link to the Service at Your choice.
2.2 — Credential security. You are solely responsible for safeguarding Your API key(s) and any other access credentials issued to You. You must not share, publish, or commit credentials to source control, and You must promptly notify Fantastic.jobs at [email protected] of any suspected unauthorized use of Your account. You can rotate or revoke Your API key at any time from the subscriptions page. Fantastic.jobs is not liable for any consumption of Jobs or API Requests credits, charges, or other consequences resulting from compromised credentials.
3. Billing, Plan Modifications and Payments
3.1 — General. The Service is made available on a subscription basis and is charged at the start of Your elected subscription term (generally monthly).
3.2 — Auto-renew. Your subscription will renew automatically based on Your plan's renewal cycle. The developer portal provides an interface for the account owner to change credit card or other payment information. The account owner will receive a receipt upon each payment received. All subscriptions will automatically renew at the end of Your subscription period until canceled by You. You will not receive further notice of auto-renewal.
3.3 — Upgrading. If You choose to upgrade Your plan during Your elected subscription period, a prorated credit is applied toward Your new plan, calculated based on the largest of: (a) the percentage of the current billing period elapsed, (b) the percentage of Jobs quota consumed, and (c) the percentage of API Requests quota consumed. The remainder of Your current plan price is credited toward the upgrade, and You can start using the new plan immediately. The credit is applied once and is not carried forward to future billing cycles. There are no refunds or credits for partial months of service, plan downgrades, or refunds for unused time if You close Your account before the end of Your subscription period. Downgrading Your plan level may cause the loss of features or capacity of Your account and Fantastic.jobs does not accept any liability for such loss.
3.4 — Billing. Fantastic.jobs uses a third-party intermediary to manage the processing of payments and this intermediary is not permitted to store, retain, or use Your billing information except to process Your payment information for Fantastic.jobs. For more information about our billing practices and Your personal information please visit our Privacy Policy.
3.5 — Payment method. Fantastic.jobs bills You through a secure online account for use of the Service. Your complete billing information is not stored on Fantastic.jobs servers.
3.6 — Payment overage / grace period. If a renewal payment fails, Your account will remain active for a grace period of 3 days. If payment is not successfully processed within this period, access to the Service (including the API) will be suspended until the outstanding balance is settled. We will notify You of failed payments via email so You have an opportunity to update Your payment method before the grace period ends.
3.7 — Taxes and currency. All prices on the Site and in the developer portal are quoted and billed in United States Dollars (USD) and are exclusive of all applicable taxes, duties, and levies, including value-added tax (VAT), sales tax, goods and services tax (GST), or similar. You are responsible for any such taxes that apply to Your purchase, except for taxes based on Fantastic.jobs' net income. Where Fantastic.jobs is required to collect VAT or similar tax (for example, on sales to consumers or businesses in certain jurisdictions), the applicable amount will be added to the invoice at the prevailing rate.
4. Changes
4.1 — Fantastic.jobs reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify or replace any part of this Agreement. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Where the change is material — for example, changes affecting fees, refunds, acceptable use, intellectual property, or Your data — Fantastic.jobs will additionally provide notice by email to the address associated with Your account (see §12.2). Non-material changes (such as typographical corrections, clarifications, or minor wording updates) will be effective upon posting without separate email notice. Your continued use of or access to the Service following the effective date of any change constitutes acceptance of those changes. Fantastic.jobs may also, in the future, offer new services and/or features through the Service (including the release of new endpoints, tools, and resources). Such new features and/or services shall be subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
5. Refunds
5.1 — Refunds may be issued at Fantastic.jobs' discretion on a prorated, usage-based basis. The refundable portion of a billing period is calculated as the remainder of the period after subtracting the largest of: (a) the percentage of the billing period elapsed, (b) the percentage of Jobs quota consumed, and (c) the percentage of API Requests quota consumed — consistent with the upgrade-credit calculation described in §3.3. To request a refund, contact us at [email protected].
5.2 — Refunds are not issued for credits consumed by user-side errors (see §7.2).
6. Refusal of Service
6.1 — We reserve the right to refuse, cancel or suspend service, at our sole discretion.
7. Disclaimer
7.1 — To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Fantastic.jobs shall not be liable for any system downtime, outages, crashes, or loss or corruption of data, nor for any lost profits, lost revenue, or other indirect or consequential damages predicated on the Service being functional or uninterrupted. Fantastic.jobs holds no responsibility for the use of customer accounts by third parties or for activity conducted under compromised credentials. Failure to comply with any terms or conditions of this Agreement may result in the suspension or termination of the offending account. Fantastic.jobs reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account, without advance notice and without restitution, where it has reasonable grounds to do so.
7.2 — Fantastic.jobs cannot be held responsible or liable for errors made by customers in the integration or use of the Fantastic.jobs API, including but not limited to incorrect query construction, polling at a higher cadence than recommended, or repeated identical requests that consume Jobs and/or API Requests credits. Recommended polling cadences and best practices are documented in the Recommended Strategy guide; we encourage You to follow them to avoid duplicate-credit consumption. Fantastic.jobs will not issue refunds for credits affected by such user-side errors.
7.3 — "As is" service. Our Services are provided "as is" and "as available." Fantastic.jobs and its suppliers and licensors hereby disclaim all warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, including, without limitation, the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Neither Fantastic.jobs nor its suppliers and licensors makes any warranty that the Services will be error-free or that access to the Services will be continuous or uninterrupted. You understand that You download from, or otherwise obtain content or services through, our Services at Your own discretion and risk.
8. Third-Party HTML Data
8.1 — When You request job descriptions in HTML form by setting the description_format query parameter to html, our Service returns raw, third-party HTML content sourced from ATS platforms, job boards, and other upstream providers. This HTML data may contain various elements, including but not limited to scripts, iframes, inline event handlers, and other potentially executable content.
8.2 — Risks of ingesting HTML data. By ingesting HTML data directly from our API, You acknowledge and agree that:
- HTML data can contain malicious code, including but not limited to cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks, malware, or other harmful elements.
- We do not guarantee the safety or security of the HTML data provided through our API.
- Ingesting HTML data directly from our API may pose risks to Your system, network, or data security.
- You are solely responsible for implementing appropriate security measures to mitigate these risks, including but not limited to input validation, output encoding, and content sanitization before storing, displaying, or otherwise processing the HTML data.
8.3 — If You do not need the raw HTML, we recommend using description_format=text instead, which returns a stripped plain-text version of the description.
9. Acceptable Use
9.1 — No competing API or data service. You agree not to use the Service or any data obtained through the Service to create, operate, or offer a competing service, defined as a commercially offered product whose primary business purpose is the aggregation, resale, syndication, or redistribution of job posting data or job feeds. This restriction is intended to protect Fantastic.jobs against direct competition; it does not prohibit ordinary internal use of the data, nor its use to power features within an end-user product (for example, a job board, ATS, matching platform, or HR tool that surfaces relevant jobs to its own users). Any prohibited use is grounds for immediate termination of access without restitution.
9.2 — No reselling. You agree not to resell, sublicense, redistribute, or otherwise make available the raw data obtained through the Service to third parties as a standalone data product. Using the data internally or to power features within Your own product (for example, surfacing matched jobs to Your end-users) is permitted under Your subscription; bulk redistribution of the data itself is not.
9.3 — Fantastic.jobs reserves the right to investigate suspected violations of this section and to suspend or terminate accounts found to be in breach, without notice and without refund.
9.4 — Technical restrictions. You shall not, and shall not permit any third party to:
- (i) reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code, object code, or underlying structure, ideas, or algorithms of the Service;
- (ii) bypass, disable, circumvent, or interfere with rate limits, throttling controls, authentication, or any other security or access-control mechanisms of the Service;
- (iii) conduct any vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, or other security testing of the Service without Fantastic.jobs' prior written consent;
- (iv) introduce or transmit any malware, viruses, worms, ransomware, or other malicious or disruptive code through the Service;
- (v) use any automated means (e.g. scrapers, crawlers, bots) to access the Service outside of the documented API surface and the rate limits assigned to Your account; or
- (vi) interfere with or disrupt the integrity, performance, or operation of the Service or the data of other customers.
10. Intellectual Property
10.1 — Platform ownership. As between the parties, Fantastic.jobs (and its licensors) owns all intellectual property rights and proprietary interests in the Service itself, including the API surface, the developer portal, the underlying platform, the aggregation and indexing pipelines, normalization and enrichment processes (including but not limited to locations_derived, the AI-derived ai_* fields, the org_* organization enrichments, the ats_duplicate dedup signal, and domain_derived), and all derivative datasets produced by Fantastic.jobs. This Agreement grants You no rights other than the access and use rights expressly set out herein.
10.2 — Underlying source data. Ownership of the underlying, source-supplied job posting data remains with the original ATS platforms, job boards, and posting organizations from which it was sourced. Fantastic.jobs' role with respect to that data is as described in §1.3.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
11.1 — These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands.
11.2 — The courts of Amsterdam, the Netherlands shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service.
12. Notices
12.1 — Notices to Fantastic.jobs must be sent in writing to [email protected].
12.2 — Notices to You will be sent to the email address associated with Your account. It is Your responsibility to keep this address current; notices sent to that address (including notices of policy changes, billing issues, security incidents, suspected violations, and account suspension or termination) are deemed validly delivered for all purposes under these Terms.
13. Miscellaneous
13.1 — Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any plan-specific terms agreed in writing, constitute the entire agreement between You and Fantastic.jobs regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements or understandings on the same subject.
13.2 — Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
13.3 — No waiver. A failure or delay by Fantastic.jobs to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or of any other provision, and shall not preclude later enforcement.
